July 7 Highland Return

It is wonderful to be back in the Highlands and the magical waters. Rumline has taken on the distinct smell of peat, which suits her. The weather is damp but not wet enough to dampen the excitement of returning. A wee dram, the heater on and we are cosy and happy.
The journey here was interesting as we arrived at the wrong airport with only and hour to spare, next time look carefully at the boarding pass make note of airport and date. My mistake provided a much needed laugh for the BA ground staff, but undeterred we managed to get on a flight to Glasgow within the hour. I get the Blonde of the Day award. More important was that we got here in the end and we were all smiling.
There are two new crew members on Rumline, Ross and Rupert.

So sitting in Rummy listening to the rain patter on the coach roof  I think there is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as messing about in boats, especially in the Western Isles.
