The Malts Cruise has officially, bringing together 33 yachts from all over the world. The furthest being from
Argentina and a good respresentation from Scandinavia. There are tastings, social events, talks mixed in with cruising in a beautiful part of the world. It is a great combination and is very popular as a result.

Returning to Kerrera Island gave me the opportunity to walk around it and discover how pretty and isolated it feels despite being a stone's throw from Oban. Only 30 people live here. A single track winds around and there are sheep tracks which lead through flower covered fields and hills. The sea is never far and there are a few shingle beaches which are fun to combe. It is recommended.
The following evening the festivities began. We had a series of talks about the islands and a wildlife talk.
A tasting of Oban Whiskey and a supper and dance followed. All great fun.
Hope this piper got paid
