11 May Ate my way through Padstow

It is funny that no matter how well prepared you think you are the item that is essential is the one you have omitted. Lundy land of puffins, orcas, seals required a chart I didn't have. So our trip was delayed by a day until the chart arrived. Wasting not a moment we continued to eat our way through Padstow. Three pasties, four icecreams later we made reservations for No 6 Paul Ainsworths restaurant. It was one of the best meals I have had, fresh thoughtout and made with care and love. Fresh local asparagus, quails eggs, wild leaves parmesan and that was just the starter. He is a rising star chef and deserves to give Stein a thrashing in the food stakes here. A meal worth every penny.
Off now to cast off the lines before I gain 10 stone. It has been indulgent and fun but time to go but not before one last delicious cappuccino at Henry's Java cafe.
